- Wortley Golf Club is situated in an idyllic village setting near Wortley Hall and just a short drive from The Cottage. What makes playing golf on this 125-year-old course so different is that there’s not a road nor rooftop skyline in sight. You are away from it all.
- Tankersley Park Golf Course was opened in 1907 and was extended to eighteen holes in 1924. It then developed under the expert supervision of Arthur Storey, Golf Professional, Course Designer, Greenkeeper and Golfing Guru. On a few acres of redundant mining spoil and moorland, he laid the foundations of a wonderful test of accurate iron-play.
- Silkstone Golf Club which was established in 1893 and offers an excellent championship golf course with the some of the finest practice facilities in the county. The course is 6363 yards from the yellow tees and 6536 yards from the white tees and is a test for golfers of all abilities. The stunning views over the Silkstone valley towards Emley Moor and Cannon Hall enhance the experience of playing a round or two of golf in such a beautiful and relaxing setting.
- Rother Valley Country Park is located a short drive from junction 31 of the M1 motorway and situated around three large lakes. You will find a variety of water sports and recreational activities, including an aqua park, cable ski, sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, mountain biking and a whole lot more.
